I was approached to write a book. Kind of a how to and how not to die or get hurt when you do it kind of thing. Not real interesting for the average person but in the small field I was in at the time it would have been worthwhile. I just never had the time. I was having fun doing it and teaching it. Fortunately we were successful and its not needed as much here.

Fortunately we were successful and its not needed as much here. With your experience, a survival book for young officers would be a good way to share that experience. It bothers me badly to see (and hear) some of these young officers make mistakes that may catch up to them in time.

never been a guy to just fall asleep. In fact i can stay awake for a hellish amount of time if I decide to. I actually have had to kick caffienates product out of my diet because i may not sleep for days if I have a 2 liter coke in the fridge.

i didn't notice until the last couple of years but yup caffeine does kick things up a knotch with me. only reason I noticed it is because i would be up at 3am (normal) but id really be ready to " do something". normally I'd be comfortable with the still of the night and on my own pace.
