If something like this came out with SYKCO steel and heat treating I'd be in Heaven. Has anyone ever seen it or heard of it.

don't remember.. but the cliff notes went something like "it was mediocre at doing a handful of things" ?

I saw one at a knife/gun show a couple years ago. it is no doubt a do everything contender. It felt very stout I bet the steal is good not as grand as SR77 but good for the tool. Jack of all trades, master at none.

I think it looks like yet another gimmick knife (yes, I went to the Hoods Woods website and read about it) like the Tom Brown Tracker but to each his own.

I'm admittedly intrigued. However, I don't know if I'm $230.00 intrigued. I guess I'd rather let someone else be the test subject. I can see where it has some applications in the bush. However, I can pretty much do the same with my S-6.

I'll stick with my S6, that does most of those jobs pretty well.. As I tend to take a Gerber Legend and make my other half carry a Gerber 650 we manage to mangle nuts pretty well as is! A yard Spax type thing would probably have a use though.
