trying to decide, what finish color would go best with the orange/black gullwing on a HRLM, assuming I can get that handle color, I'm sending in the knife, might as well have it re-finished if it's not much more Bright, safety orange blade.. you know you want to, and get a nice orange kydex sheath for it too! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

it's currently black w/tan handles, I was thinking maybe Tanker grey, although the black with the black/orange gullwing would look good, it's in near perfect shape (only cut some poison ivy vines with it) so if I don't change the color it won't need to be refinished It would cost you less, plus it would look pretty good with the blk finish. Just my opinion

I think I'm going to go with just the rehandle, and I want to get rainwalker leather for it, or at least leather lined kydex, so as not to hurt it too much from the sheath, it's my first bussekin/fixed blade, and I'd really like to keep this around for a while.

over on the BF thread about the new knives, some guy had put up a pic of all his SAR's in orange/black, except a lot of them were more orange with no black, I hope mine comes out orange/black like in the demo pic... well, first let's hope that I can get it rehandled...

I like the Busse stuff, just can't afford it. I really do like the SAR, but I'd get more use out of a smaller blade like one of the SLUTS they had at Tulsa.

yeah, I wanted to get the SAR, but I have other projects that appeal to my mildly inane mind (ooh, shiny) but I have to have some of that black/orange to appease my again, mildly inane mind. so I really hope I can get this re-handle job done...
