My son is actually talking about joining the Air Force when he gets out of school. He'd do well there. Very technically savvy, but needs to learn some self-motivation.

That's not a bad job, but it is hectic at times. How does she do under stress?

Plus he's not going to be man enough for the Marines!

Pretty good, best that I can tell. But the most stress she's under is on the line at Subway.

Wow, TWO smart kids! Seriously, the Air Force (at lest it used to) treats it's people better than any other branch of the service. SINGLE rooms were not uncommon in my time ('74-"94) and ALMOST NEVER more than two to a room. Good chow halls and usually better facilities all around. Now I really can't say, I've only been back to a base once since getting out and that was to get Patty's first ID card and that was 12 years ago.

Their Best bet, SHOP AROUND. They know (maybe) what their interested in so talk to the different branches and see what is offered in that field, but tell them to listen carefully and read between the likes. I am sure recuiters today still "over sell" their own particular branch.

I really hope my son will go. He needs to grow up and I think the military would be good for him, but the Air Force wouldn't be AS hard on him as the other branches. At least that's what I'm thinking...

He didn't know till a couple weeks ago that you got PAID to be in the military! He thought that since you volunteered that you never got paid. LOL.
