Their Best bet, SHOP AROUND. They know (maybe) what their interested in so talk to the different branches and see what is offered in that field, but tell them to listen carefully and read between the likes. I am sure recuiters today still "over sell" their own particular branch. I told my daughter that for nursing, probably the better choice would be the Navy. But I think she likes the Air Force "lifestyle" better.

I still tell them that my biggest regret was never joining the military. Dad was Army, and he loved it. I wanted to go to Air Force, but just never got around to it. I liked drinking beer better back then

It wasn't all that bad. I was going to college and after a year and a half flunked out. I was in AF ROTC, so I knew a little about it. I went and talked to a recruiter, told mom and dad about it and was gone a month later. Best thing I think I could have done at the time.

I think EVERYONE should be in the military. Should be mandatory for all graduating high school students.

I agree. Anywhere from 2-4 years, FOR EVERYONE! It will teach, if nothing else, responsibility and tolerance.

This is totally off the subject, but I just noticed that our two knives are just the opposite (the ones in your avatar). I have a Black DF and you have a tan one. I have a Tan SOD and you have a black one. Just noticed that, just caught my eye.
