Biggest regret in my young life was not joining the military. In 1993, there was not a lot of openings due to Clinton--and my cousins that were in definetly played it down. After blowing the knee the seciond time it was a no brainer that my options of any service ws over....

Doing well. Just have the Pawn Stars on for background noise and seeing what you ruffians are up to.

I was recruited pretty heavily, my ASVAB scores were north of 95%. But I liked drinking beer and chasing women better than thinking about the military. You don't know how many times I've regretted that decision over the past 20 years or so.

Well I can tell you this, if I acted like most do I would be dead from the beating my father, Papa, grandpa, uncles, neighbors, etc would have given me. I was no angel but I did and do pay respect where it is due. I never asked for anything, and admire those who take it upon themselves to better their situation. A lot of the kids today are a now generation, don't care what is going on in the world unless it affects them, and general smart-asses. One thing i do know is that this generation is more talk than action--I will do this, do that, get in your face but not back it up. I know a lot of the world thinks that violence is not the anser to a problem, but sometimes it is. I wonder how many would fight back if their head was held under water.

I was recruited pretty heavily, my ASVAB scores were north of 95%. But I liked drinking beer and chasing women better than thinking about the military. You don't know how many times I've regretted that decision over the past 20 years or so. I wanted to join the Marines since they had/have a good wrestling team. Like Todd, my ASVAB was really high. I had a cousin that was wrestling for the Marines and it was what I wanted but I had some scholorship offers on the table though none were full ride. I thought I would hold out to see if a full ride would come along and that is when the first blown knee happened. Well needless to say the full rides never came, and after blowing it again the service was out. I regret not serving because I wanted to continue the tradition and beliefs that my family had instilled in me.
