Thats what I thought, it retails at $1000, they sell online for 850 to 950, it only has 50 or 60 rounds through it, and the guy just got done telling me how the E2 line was flying off the shelf and they were completely out of them, then they come back with 300, I might sell it to my dad if I end up going for the CZ Dan Wesson Guardian in 9mm, cause I'm gonna trade a knife for a full sized 1911 45 cal this week I think

What brand 45 you lookin at. Oh and speaking from experience, IF you intend on carrying it, get yourself a commander size 45, not the full size. I have had all three size 45's and I BY FAR like the commander length. the balance and weight and just everything seems better to me, but then again that is a purely personal thing.

Yeah, the full size 1911 is a SA Mil spec stainless 45cal, the CZ Dan Wesson 1911 guardian is a commander size 9mm with the bobtail grip and only weighs about 24 oz, kinda pricey but it looks(and from the review I've read of it) shoots amazing

Don't know if you've looked or have them in your area, but Wilson Combat and Kimber both make a good 45. Then there is Les Bauer and Ed Brown, or at least used to be.
