I have a DF as well but I'm really lovin' all the ESEE products I have.
They kind of have a Scrap Yard theme going as far as"Price to Performance" ratio goes.

What's the difference in the original run DM's and the ones that show up at the shows now? I got one at Blade, but didn't realize there was a difference.

The handles on the originals are the old Busse Basic series handles. Lots of folks complain about them being to small but I love them.
The originals have a factory ground Penetrator tip and were .285 thick. I beleive the newer ones are .250 (though I may be wrong about that).

Now all we need is for Jeff to quit his day job so he can concentrate on making sheaths!

That makes me pretty jealous. My Reg went as a trade bait toward my ASH 1. I really like the looks of the 6.5`s and I have recently (just before the Ganza pics) fallen for the green handled TT edition Reg.

I haven`t had a chance to pick up any of his stuff yet but the time WILL come.

Need to measure mine, I knew about the handles but not the difference in thickness. I think the handles are a little on the small side too, can't see mine being much of a user.

I just plain LOVE that Basic handle. It fits my hand just fine and I think it looks AWESOME!!!

I'd talked to Jeff about a sheath for the 6.5 and that I didn't really like retention straps but that I did like leather. And I was wondering if a hybrid could be made, body of leather with a kydex mouth to slip around the hand guards to hold the blade in the sheath. I'll be darned if he hasn't already done something like that already, but I THINK I wouldn't want the full kydex sheath covered with leather. I would prefer something about 2/3 leather and 1/3 kydex IF that is possible and still look good. Hey a fellers gotta look cool when carrying something like the 6.5!

Maybe I should get a sheath and try carrying it some, see if it grows on me. I'll never get used to anything with it laying in the cabinet.

Evening guys. How has it been going for the last few days? I see the 6.5's are making their way to new homes. Well, as you know I missed out on the ganza for a wrestling dual. What makes it worse is we did not wrestle to our potential--cost;ly in my opinion.
