That's what ours is. I figure that if it became necessary to actually use it for something real it would become an OJT (On the Job Training) thing. Combines all the radio nets/freqs that are used in this area into one central location for relay out to the appropriate agency/department.

Have not been feeling real well the last few days. Think i had the flu as my body aches like no other, could not keep anything down, and got dehydrated. Today is a day that I am feeling a bit better. Sun came out today and temp was above freezing so some of the dreaded white is gone. Now I have been told that we have a slight chance for some more white stuff this week. Got to love global warming!

In addition to access to the MREs We have about 20 cases of canned goods stocked up, corn/beans/peas/fruit/meat... and they were giving away bottled water so we got some of them as well. Oh the water reaches it's expiration date in about 6 months so they were just giving it to anyone that wanted it.

Randy, in the last few weeks OK has had a couple quakes. Is that what you are talking about?

I have to admit, carrying all my steel, firearms, ammo, and supplies would be a hard trip.

That's a good start, but don't forget medical supplies/first aid kits, personal hygiene items, etc.

I need to stock up, but don't really have anywhere to put much.

Mom and Dad's basement is piled full of canned veggies, and there's plenty of deer, so there's my plan.
