Without the Metformin she'll have to really watch herself. But it sounds like she's doing pretty good so far.

I'm thinking about both of you...I know this has been tough on you, maybe tougher than on her. It's hard standing by and watching your loved one be sick and there's nothing you can do.

We're hopeing that they can put her on something else. Her weight has sky rocketed. She has gained over 7 pounds in about a day day and a half. I keep telling her, keep hopeing it is just water retention but we don't know for sure. You can bet that we will ask the Doctor Wednesday though.

You got THAT right! Plus this one doctor is about to get his bald headed crappy attitude shoved where the sun never shines. IF he walks into the room one more time and tries to see her for any reason he is getting told to his "Holier than thou attitude" face to bugger off, he's fired!

That much, that quick, it's gotta be water retention. Plus with her history of kidney problems....yeah, water. I'd bet on it.

When my 2nd wife was sick, I hated seeing her hurt and knowing there was nothing I could do. She had rheumitoid arthritis and diabetes. Then she developed lung cancer, doc said there was nothing he could do with it where it was at. We had already divorced by then, but I helped her what I could.

That was the most helpless I've ever felt in my life.

Now my first wife told me yesterday that she has Stage 4 cancer in her kidneys.

Sadly, I don't know if I believe her or not. She's lied to me so many times that I don't take her word for anything. I hope she's lying, for my kids' sake.

I can't imagine anyone lying about having cancer, but if there's one person that would, it would be her.
