Assisted openers seem to be the rage. I have tried a few of them, the Blur, the Camillus Heat, and an SOG that I hated. I was impressed by the speed of the Camillus, but it is an ugly little thing. I am looking at My Tighe and the Speed Bump, but am open to other suggestions from users. I was obviously hoping for some speed in the JYD, but that is just not going to happen. So, what do those of you who actually own and use assisted openers recommend? Something under $70.00.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

If the heat turned you off, try the blur. The blur is a cool looking little beast, and they are avaiable in Walmart for half the retail price. they list for $99, walmart has them for $54 or so.

I may have to recuse myself, cuz I love all three of mine. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

The heat may not look like much, but it's fun to screw around with while watching TV. Also, cuts a mean slice of pepperoni, when you need a slice sliced RIGHT NOW

A biker buddy of mine carries tha Heat. That thing is faster than some automatics. I might just have to live with its looks. I know they work well, I tried his.

Thanks, Dave. I am hearing that from a few others. Looks like a trip to Walley World is in order.

After much helpful input from you great dogs in the yard, I have decided on the Camillus Heat. It is the fastest. It has AUS-8 steel. It is on ebay for $27!Thanks to all you dogs. I still like the Kershaw Blur, but my local Walmart does not carry them any longer, and the HEAT is faster with just a little better steel.

I have a speed bump and it is a nice knife! Quite fast, sounds neat and looks great.
