the spyderco ethos falls in line with that of scrap yard. form follows function.
the looks were strange to me for about the first five minutes i saw em. wasn't hard to get used to. many of their knives don't look too freakish, either. calypso, military, manix, dragonfly, and many of the newer designs are quite clean and elegant. mine look kinda Freakish.... ![[Linked Image from img147.imageshack.us]](http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/7121/montecristo0175it.jpg)

that lum tanto is cool, never handled one personally. the d'allara was the knife that turned me onto spyderco but after handling the ball lock on a blue serrated dodo i decided i might avoid it. maybe i was hasty and it deserves a second shot.

haste makes waste Magnum22! I've heard of earlier Dodo's with some ball-lock problems...my 3 work great though... BTW I used this Montecristo catalog for these pics....hope i'm not offending anyone... ![[Linked Image from img417.imageshack.us]](http://img417.imageshack.us/img417/4952/montecristo0119kw.jpg)

I don't own a Spyderco yet, but I like the miltary. Those who do own them speak highly of them.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

The carbon fiber military's are very nice looking blades. I am not really a carbon fiber high class guy, but I like that one.

the mili is a good knife. i would have liked it better with full scale liners as in the d'allara and manix but that would defeat the design purpose. much like the heat, i love the design but don't love it in my hand.
