Or even smaller would be the Smith 422.

I have a 10/22. You think I just need to make sure it's Ultra reliable? And I was thinking about something like a Ruger 22-45.

I'm not wanting a hideout 22. Just a pistol smaller than my buckmark with the 8 inch barrel.

Don't get any more dependable than the 10/22. And the 22/45 is about as good as they come too. I just prefer the MkII frame is all.

My Dad has a MKII I can get but I figured the 22-45 would be more in line with the 45 govt, which is a gun I love to shoot.

Randy my absolute favorite 22 rifle in the world is a CZ452. Nice classic bolt action. Tough as nails and good looking.

More consistent grip angle, which in theory should help accuracy with both guns. I can shoot pretty much anything about the same, it's all about lining up the sights. But if you point shoot, then I can see why you'd want to stay with the same angle.

Ok, I can be here now LOL.
Bolt action, semi, lever rifle? Semi or revolver for a pistol?

Hey MB. I've heard nothing but good things about the CZs. Pricey?

I agree with the CZ 452 American. I love mine, M/B loves his, and Vic loves his. I am nto big on the semi rifles. As a pistol I love revolvers because of the accuracy and reliability. Saying that I saw a Browning Buckmark that has a machined alluminum brl with a steel insert---light weight!
MB, how are you this evening?

I was hoping you'd be back. I know this is right up your alley! Action type for a 22 does not matter, but IF I had to pick I would say lever semi and Bolt last, just because the other two provide faster followup shots. For the handgun, I WANT to say auto first, but a good revolver with a 4 inch barrel wouldn't be bad. I just don't like shooting revolvers as much. The way you got to grip it seems off to me on a lot of ones I have handled.
