The survey reminded me of this morning. In an unlike me fashion, my gas light came on on the way to work. I usually fill up my gas card on base since that gets me US prices at ESSO stations here. That wasn't an option this morning since I didn't know if I'd make to base without running out of gas. So, I stopped at the gas station and put 20 Euros in my tank. That is about $35. That barely filled my tank passed 1/4!!!

Dang JJ, that is bad. What kind of vehicle are you driving?

So 35 US dollars got you a 1/4 tank in the car? Unbelievable!

It is only a 13 gallon tank too. Usually when I fill it up the pump reads 80 Euros, then when I use the card it cost about $30 with the discount. Thankfully the military has the arrangement worked out with the fuel companies.

I think it is actually since I don't pay German taxes.

Glad that they have that arrangement. I drive an older Ford truck, and 35 US dollars gives me about half a tank. Wow.
