I just drooled on myself!! Dan, you have jungle experience. Did you use the Big Busse or a machete? Didn't you use an RTAK on one trip? For the most part I used my Busse's both the E-BM 2002 and SHBM 2000 on two of my expeditions and my Fehrman Final Judgment on my 2004 expedition. I also used the panga on several occasions but mainly they were carried by the Africans. Sometimes when I did not wear my Busse, which was rare I used the panga only. Everytime we went out and I pulled one of my knives the people always wanted to use it instead of their own pangas. They wanted to trade for them but when I told them how much the cost (in Kenya Shillings)... Well lets just say the looks on their faces were priceless. Those knives would have fed their families for a very long time.

Horn Dog, ...I am planning an el cheapo chop off, and just maybe, if I am lucky, a FBMLE vs DFLE chop off. A 7" combat knife chop off might be fun as well... haha! "El Cheapo Chop Off".. got a nice ring to it! i see it on magazines stands all the time.. "EconoCar Comparo", "EconoCruiser Shootout", "EconoSportbike Track Testing".. But i'm really looking forward to *your* Chop Off testing!

I like the Condor product lines. Nice designs, very decent sheaths, with good fit and finish. Kinda the high end of the low end but that's just fine for many uses. They seem like a very good value. Looking forward to zee chop off.
If you ever get an invitation to the famous Bobbit International chop off I suggest you decline. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I think the gladius may find it's way to my door.
If I can make it dark, I can make it light.

I got one of my Jungle Bowies and my Combat machete from Knife Center. They did not list the Inca Knives, so I went elswhere searching and found them at BladeSource. I got the dark handled Jungle Bowie from Atlanta Cutlery.

It should be fun to pit CS 1055 blades against Condor's 420 HC, and Ontario's 1095. I am so grateful and pleased that Dan allows us to show other knives on this forum. It just shows me that he has utmost confidence in Scrap Yard Knives. I must admit, they have more than measured up to my standards of performance and at a fair price as well. I don't think SYKCO is going into the machete business any time soon. SYKCO knives are Busses for value-minded folks. But if he could just make a kukri, an axe, or a gladius....just dreaming again.

Vic, I am with you! That is why I love this forum as we can show and discuss other knives, including the best knives around.... Scrap Yard!! No where else can we do this on other forums.
