lets just say you were putting a lanyard on your knife. square knot, crk style slip knot, chinese button knot, whatever. obviously it depends on the knife but this is only a hypothetical.

I voted Black. I just like the darker colors. OD would come in second.

Gotta go black myself. Black knives, black sheaths, black rifles, and so on.

I actually chose all because I think all of those colors would look could, depending on the knife

I usually tie a black or combo black/OD.

Bright colours so if you drop the knife into long grass or water you can see the darn thing!.. All mine sport 2 or 3mm climbing cord wrist straps in (manly) bright colours. I can see squaddie types needing black or o.d. though.

I don't use lanyards, but if I did it would be a light color to help me find the knife. I like tan, but yellow or orange would be good, too.

I voted black and that's what I would use 90 percent of the time. However occationally if I'm going to be in a situation where I'm afraid I could easily loose something, like a knife, in my surroundings, I'll attach some orange cord or tape to keep from loosing it... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

I think from a looks perspective I would prefer black but for function I would use orange to make it easier to find.

I voted for Black and OD. In some cases I would go for yellow because it's eaiser to see if dropped.
