The AG Russell show was the last weekend of July as it was the wifes and my last get-away before school started. My wife bought me a Vex, I bought a Scizzy, and she "forced" me to pre-order my Battle Pappy. Of course, we did some things she liked like hit a couple casinos on the way up and back, a good hotel stay, and beautiful country. While in college I worked a route that took me through that area a couple days a week and we hit a few of the places to eat. This year, if Busse is going, I will hit the Pea Ridge battle Field too. Been there several times but last year was so hot and the wife's meds don't react well with heat.

If Busse was going to be there I might try to swing a trip. But its right in between vacation and hunting season. Probably be hard to make. Even though i could throw in a quick visit with family and friends.

Jrod, how is the DW Valor?

Ever find yourself looking at all the steel and thinking that you should thin it down to what you use and maybe a few choice pieces? I do, then it dawns on me that most of the fixed blades I have now is Bussekin steel. Not sure if I feel right about getting rid of some of them even if they will never be used. I mean I have sold and traded some but that was generally on other Bussekin stuff--mostly older Yard releases. I will say this, there is some fine designs from the Yard and Swamp that rival, and often surpass Busse Infi. Saying that, I can't wait for my MUKLE. I do love the Yard MUK so I am assuming I will love the Busse MUKLE too.
