I thought it was made by Crucible. I hate 440c, it's probably just the knives I have, but they all suck.

For a survival kit. Make your own. You get exactly what you want and its usually much cheaper.

I mean in my area I don't even have issues with SR-101 rusting on me yet. Although. It seems like in a true survival situation a stainless steel wouldn't be bad. If you are stranded in the jungle where you gonna get oil for 1095? I think I would choose Busse 154cm at this point. Havnt had INFI or S30V experience yet.

Most people can get enough oil off their foreheads while in the jungle to coat a blade. But thats the reason they are coated.

My chance of getting stranded in the jungle is pretty slim. But here in the rockies I keep an RMD in my pack. Otherwise I have an HRLM on my belt.
