I have never been a fan of the Nessmuk design. My dad has a made in Shefield England knife of similar design that is older than he is. It is an awesome butcher knife but I don't care for it out camping or hunting. Though to be fair many people don't like the design of the knife that I posted a couple of pages back

This is a Nessmuk knife friend made...
Really nice knives however some purest would not consider them a Nessmuk style knife but rather a bullnose design.

Messed up? I think he did a real nice job. It may not be what he intended to do but it still is a fine job I would be proud to make something like that

Still cool looking. Isnt the Muk more of the Bullnose design as well? Its not nearly as aggressive a hump in the blade more of a banana shape in a way.

That drawing I posted above is out of Sears book. If you look at it, the blade is curved not straight. It is bullnosed as well it is just that the blade and handle are not straight like most modern interpretations of it

I aplologize. I misunderstood what you meant. One of those sights would be an awesome resource. I would love to have a resource like that, and I am sure it would help a lot of people out. I also wish this forum had an exchange because it doesn't seem like the SYKCO old knives come up as often on BF. I have had trouble finding a lot of older models I want to try out. I guess the old dogs have a stronger grip than the old hogs on the old goodies. That just linked to the whole list of knives EXACTLY! knife, pic, when produced, some specs, original release price.

So do you think the Sykco Muk should really even be considered a Nessmuk? Seem more to me Ness inspired but not an original style. Kinda modified Ness style or something.
