Now my 5" blades are covered in spades. Gimme something I can't live without--a muk, a 12 inch chopper, or an SOD. Oooooooo, how about an INFI SOD?

Holy cow! a 'nado did that? So much for laying in a ditch--that thing would have scoured out every ditch in its path! No, sorry. That was where the lake (Lake Wappapello) overran the emergency spillway. AND they had put about 2-4 ft of temp levee on top of the concrete spillway! I'll put up a pic of the spillway for you to see. The eroded part is in places about 30 ft deep. The Corps of Engineers said that from the time the water went over the top and hit the road that the road was gone in about 17 seconds!

NEVER understimate the power of water! I saw a flooded river wash the pavement right off a road once. What was amazing is the pavement was all in one piece, but moved about 50 feet off the roadbed. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

Well I can't post a pic, don't have one of the spillway. BUT it is nothing more than a concrete levee that is not as high (of course) as the earthern dam. It has a rounded top and is about 20-25 ft tall so where the road is washed away, is from the bottom of the washout to the top of the spillway probably a TOTAL of 40-50 feet deep in places. The spillway is 450 feet wide.
