Wish I had the extra funds for a war dog, its a good looking blade. It would be nice if more releases came convexed too.
Weather holding out in your corner of the world, Randy? Were getting our share of strange weather around here now, had a tornado warning yesterday (not often we get those).

Right now I have my Warden Ranger banded to the carry strap on my 511 push pack. I think I have that thing loaded down now with a fairly good (at least for my knowledge base) FAK. I also have fire making kit in there along with a couple flashlights and other assorted stuff. I made a list of what I have in it and after I was done with the list I was kinda proud of myself.

I saw the KaBar Warthog fixed blade and tracked on down. I got the last one I could find. It happened to be in a shop locally. I couldn't find one on the net even. Never used it.

Howdy Tom, and I agree. I have a Vietnam era Kabar that I will never use. Not because it is pristine or anything, but I have better blades by some strange sounding smaller knife company called Scrap something or other. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I don't have a problem with KaBar but I have seen the light on blades. Far better choices for my needs. And Most of them are right here or the swamp.

Luckily we didn't get any but the news was freaking out as the storm approached, getting a tornado around here is almost the same odds as getting a job (slim).
