They had a major crime that occured in their jurisdiction. The victim escaped in our jurisdiction. We investigated it and everything that was a crime occured in there jurisdiction. I had my guy do an AOA and call them. The said no problem take the victim to any substation and have them file the report.

I just got as call they were bitching that we just dropped the victim off and we only took an AOA. Nothing happened in our area.

I hate getting calls like that when I'm off duty. Makes me start cussing.

It's everywhere. I mean this literally. Since I've been working for myself I see it almost everytime I try to do anything anywhere.

That's nothing unusual here. If something happens in the city, and they live in the county, the city will try to lay it off on us.

More often than not the only satisfaction is knowing that you did a good job. Most people will never know nor do they care what happens until they are affected.

wasn't even thinking about LE agencies particular. just hard to find people who seem to want to do a good job. my thought has always been that if you are going to be there then you might as well do a good job. whatever issues you have you should try to fix them but that should never affect the job you do.

Its hard to find and retain good help anywhere. A good work ethic is like finding gold.

We have found that you really have to foster it at all levels though.

I actually use the name "lazy" because I'm not. I try to be easy going but im one of the first to do what needs to be done. ive learned not to let others be the gauge for what I'm doing. It works for me...
