I could be a gear guy if A company would give me stuff to T&E. I just tend to buy gear for the long haul. Quality stuff that will last me as long as possible and preferably pull double duty.

i don't even think I could be the guy to give any type of qualified opinion on outdoors gear. even if it was free I still don't think I would be able to find time to use it and give a decent enough opinion. now if you put electronic musical instruments in front of me I can talk shop.

I don't know that I could give it the mainstream opinion. I am opinionated and I know what I like. So I could give honest feedback to a company. I'm not sure the general public would care what I think about most things though. I prefer function over flash. But I still like shiny things.

Roughly a week then back for a day then off to the backcountry for a few days. Hopefullly my Muk and M-9 will come in befoore I hit the back country.

I think that's my only concern. I dont like guys who only have he good to say but at the same time I'm not looking for a trash talk. which is why I like the way things go on this forum. If a single website was generating this kinda content I think it would be cool. I could live with doing a ScrapYard Fan page but in between the release gaps I would want to cover some other ground in the same fashion that it happens on the Yard. No BS and no fluff but also no drama...

Yeah this is a lot different than a lot of sites I have visited. I really like the down to earth feeling here and the way everyone gets along even when there is a disagreement about something.
