Copied this from the listing..

It is an Australian International Arms model M10-A2 rifle chambered in 7.62x39
It takes AK47 magazines and has an action that takes after the Enfield .303...

The same company makes a .308 as well.... was looking at them before the scout and started looking at them after. supposed to only be a few that make it here every so often and get listed on GB. first active listing I've seen. If I remember reading (googling and forums) right they stopped them from coming in a while ago because of being made in vietnam or something. I could be wrong though... Just from reading.

OK, I know what you are looking at. I looked at the 308 version when I first heard about them. IIRC, there is a serious problem with getting them imported. In fact, I am not sure that the Canadians at Marstar are getting them in either.

I'm thinking the Ruger GSR might be a good option at this point. I thought it was too much of an overlap when I firs looked at it but as time passed that may be a good thing. KnotSlio jus posted that the GSR shot 1.8-.85 moa. If that's out the box than it's better than the Mini-30 is expected to be from Ruger. I read that If you tweak your Mini and have to send it back Ruger might set it back to then expected 4-6 moa at the factory. Once again its just crap i read somewhere but if true ita not cool...

4-6 MOA at a 100 yds is 4-6" groups. I don't care for that. I say GSR, just because I am thinking of one again.

Hitting the sack boys. Have a great 4th!

I've been looking at it since Arch first posted. Nobody had replied and I started googling and was googling it up until I posted. I'm pretty much sold on it now that we are talking 1" at 100 yards. I may not be able to get that with it but it give me something to work towards.

If it was short it could have been a 91/59, M44, or M38. It is rare to find a rifle with a bad bore since the Soviets rebuilt the rifles so much. In some cases the Soviets would counter bore the brl but that actually can help the grouping. Not seeing the rifle it would be hard to say what the deal is. When you say not accurate, are we talking pie plate accurate, man size accurate, or 20 oz coke bottle accurate? What distance were you shooting?
Well like we were shooting at a Skid sized piece of plywood roughly and barely hitting it at maybe 50 yards. And I would go out on the limb and say I am a pretty solid shot I am not however familiar with many military style guns so it could be me in that perspective.

Look at the end of the barrel and see if the rifling is worn away or flared. Because these old rifles were shot A LOT this is a common problem and can cause horrible accuracy.
