hah, yeah, gotta watch out for those. i actually did somethin like that a couple times when i was making your dguard and had to go back and fix it. aside from that, as long as you keep it pulled tight, compress it as you wrap, and keep the turns aligned, it should hold up well with use and look good doin it.

Cold - thanks for the encouragement! I think I should be good. So you have one coming for you, and one for you bro?

Mag - That was my big issue the first time - not pulling tight enough, and not compressing enough. I got that all under control... and then switched up my twisting a couple of times!! I'm just going to leave it until I get some more 550 cord and try it 2 tone.

Kind of! I wanted one just because of the 1/4" - but I couldn't justify paying twice as much. I'll just wait for the next 1/4" CG something midsized and jump on that!

Dark Norseman,
Cool vids! Like Dan said.. nice group.. good enough for head shots!

Years ago in high school.. a couple of us mall ninjas were at a friends' house. he said "Hey my uncle's got these high quality Henkels (kitchen) knives.. let's Throw them! umm... Sure!"
LOL.. we broke 'em All!

I'm prolly gonna pick up one of those CS throwers w/ skeleton handles..
Thanks for posting.. Inspired ME too.. now i wanna get back into knife throwing!

Think the INFI will take the abuse, even in 3/16"?

Yup! Dave Brown has some vids of him throwing his AK into a huge wooden stump. Verry cool. You can find it on my thread on the Busse forum at BF.

Good luck with the throwing today.

I rewrapped the handle last night, and did some more throwing today. I was getting fairly consistent from about 15 feet with 1 full rotation. Extending my arm all the way definately helped - thanks for the tip! It is pretty loud when I get a bad hit - I've even had the knife come all the way back to me at 15 feet a couple of times! Pretty fun though. Thanks again for the help bro!

diceman: That is sweet. I'd hate to have that chunk of steel flying at me. Nice job man.And it's probably like my NO-E in that no matter what part of the knife hits you it's gonna be a bummer.

Guys, if your having bounce backs, set up a prop like Dark norseman there. The dogfather and scrapper 6 will go through that plywood in nothing flat, but it's a good starting medium to throw at. The trick is, to set something up like in the picture. The plywood will bend and absorb a lot of the impact if the knife hits flat. We used plywood set ups like this when i was a kid starting out throwing knives and it saved a lot of toes I'm sure. Only when we moved "up" to large logs did we start having serious bouce-backs.

Thanks for sharing.

The earlier comment about a shield would be more of my approach
