Lived very close to the san andreas fault. Watched that sucker jump about fifteen feet one year. No biggie when there's no structures around.

We had a small quake last night, I didn't even feel it. But the news crew made a big deal out of it. I think it was 2.4 maybe? That's nothing to you west coasties LOL

I realize that they aren't as frequent as the media would lead you to believe, and the houses are built to withstand quite a bit. I'm just a hillbilly from NC that prefers the ground to be stable.

I gotta say I miss California. You have everything there. I lived in Hawaii for six years and California is still my favorite.

It has to be a pretty bad hurricane to affect us here, this far inland. Tornados are another story, they come through from time to time, but we're so hilly that we don't get them much either, and the ones we do get are fairly weak.

Never been there, but if I could live somewhere else I'd probably pick Montana. Great hunting and fishing, rough winters but the summers aren't too bad, at least I've been told.
