Yard Guard arrived Yesterday. Got the shipping notice on Saturday. Had to take the day off and wait by the mail box. It was a thing of beauty. The yard guard feels real nice in the hand. Little did I know it, but it would save my life shortly.
Anyway, I was attacked several times last year and vowed to never let it happen again. I spotted one of the bad guys trying to sneak up on me again. He stopped for a second and I lept into action. One swift stroke of the yard guard and the hornet was severed cleanly in two! He won't be stinging me or my kids ever again. Pretty good sized slice taken out of the support beam of the barn as well.
All kidding aside the edge geometry of the yard guard is very unusal. I have never had something chop so well and also slice cardboard with ease. Usually, it does one or the other. I did find it difficult to whittle with, even thought it came out of the box shaving sharp.

Welcome lighthiker, Glad you found the Guard so useful. I once had a simular situation and with one swift pommel strike from the Dogfather, that ant's days were done.

Congrats on your new Guard. Since they have made it to NY, maybe GA will be soon. No shipping notice yet, but It is only Tuesday. I'll try mine on some evil wasps in the back yard. I looks like the Guard will be a fine Camp knife.
