I think he gave me half price. He is going to start buying them and keeping them in stock at the shop. He had never seen them before and I had never held one. I can honestly say this is the best finish and fit I have ever seen on a lower reciever. Way better than any colt rifle I have owned or touched and way better than the bushy or DPMS. I am impressed so far.

I've got a Colt AR15A3 that I bought WAY back in probably '95. It has MAYBE 3-400 rounds through it. Needless to say I don't shoot very much, but I've got it if I ever need it. (I've also got my 3 .308 rifles and a few other toys as well)

I have never built any from stripped receiver on up before. Thought it might be educational. I have swapped parts like a mad man but never a complete one start to finish.

I am guessing that there are no special tools or jigs/fixtures needed.

Minor stuff. A reciever block for the upper to install the barrrel and a barrel wrench, a set of roll pin punches. Everything else is ghetto fabed.

Well a set of go/no go gauges. But many tools you can borrow instead of buy.

Ok, the block goes around the barrel and ghe barrel wrench to tighten it all down. Roll pin punches I know about.

That's so you can get the chamber/bolt gap set correctly right, I mean so the bolt travels the correct distance.

Yep. I wouldn't mind getting a set for when I switch bolts between rifles.
