I remember seeing a side by side with a rail system on it a few years back. But i have to say I usually look at guns from a very practical standpoint. I don't have any pretty guns. Yet.

It's not very practical, and definately not pretty. More of a novelty I guess. I imagine it kicks like a mule.

LOL Sumo thats really close to what this build will be. And why it will take years to build it. I don't have 2-3 grand hiding in my back pocket right now. But If I spend about 100 a month I will get nit done eventually.

Architect these will be the first truly frivoulous guns i have ever had. I have always had a serious use for everything else. These I just wanted. So I sprang for some etching. I am thinking of putting some trick things on these just for the "neat" factor.

Nothing wrong with spending a little money on a quality firearm. My wife can attest to my willingness to "practice what I preach" in this regard!

Ok, so you were talking about AR's again last night. I don't have one anymore and if I do build one it will be a p-dag killing machine.
A2 lower receiver
quality lower parts kit
Geissel (sp) trigger group
Magpul winter trigger guard
Magpul Moe pg
Magpul fixed stock with riser
PRI Big Weenie charge handle
nitro-plated bolt carrier group
24" varmint tube
LaRue mount
Free-float hg (railed, not sure which though)
Harris bi-pod
Leupold Varmint reticule 6-18x optic

Now you see why I don't just go build one up right now LOL.

Sumo - everything looks good, but I'd offer the following suggestions:

1) Take a look at the FailZero BCG instead of the nitro plated.
2) Take a look at BCM's Gunslinger charging handles (with a tac latch of your choice). Personally I use PRI's on most of my guns. The BCM handle is bomb proof.

I've looked at a couple of double barrel "tactical" shotguns. I have a hard time considering a hunting shotgun that is painted flat black, and has a section of weaver rail on it "tactical".

I'm not sure who there are marketed toward. For the same money a guy can get a Remington 870 Home Defense with a 7rd magazine.

Oops, I made a mistake on the manufacturer of the tactical over/under. It's Mossberg, not Remington. I don't know what I was thinking.

I agree. I think they're just jumping on the "let's make everything tactical" bandwagon. Looks cool, though.

Tom - what color grips did you get? The SAR8 is a neat blade. The SAR4 looks like a great EDC.
