My son is very picky about what he eats, which makes it tough. But when he has stuff around that he will eat, he goes through it quick. Too quick, I think. He drinks at least a 2-liter drink a day, and usually more. If I quit buying them, he gripes non-stop til he gets more drink. I usually drink water, so I don't care if we have them or not.

what's even funnier is how my parents made little comments about it but never made a big deal of it. man, I'm glad I do eat like I used to when they payed for it all! lol!

funny but that's how I started to feel again latlely. Im really going to tighten up on my shopping happens more. I did earlier this year but I still don't shop for past a week.

Most of what we ate when I was growing up came from what we raised, and a lot of the meat had bullet holes in it. I'm better off for it now, but man I hated it back then!

man I miss the food I ate at my grandparents house. everything taste fresh! I ate everything as a kid and okra, peas, greens, etc... my grands on both side grew great stuff. I was wishing I had some molasses earlier this week so I would have a good reason to try making some biscuits again.

My parents and grandparents planted 7-8 acres of garden every year. My grandparents are gone now, but my dad still plants a couple acres of stuff. He planted 150 tomato plants this year, for example. We ate a lot, and canned a lot. Put up about 100 quarts of tomatos, will do us for a couple years. Next year it'll be beans and corn, and can and freeze enough to do a couple years. We just raise stuff in cycles like that.

Also raise our own hogs to kill too.

Bullet holes are ok, eating what made the holes is what I didn't like! Crunch crunch crunch OUCH!
