The buzzards must have a roost nearby. I see them often. This morning before sunrise I saw an armadillo and a possum. They were illuminated by a big reddish yellow moon. And, yes I had a knife with me both times. Just got carried away and forgot to take pictures of it. It was the HRLM.

You guys have armadillos down there huh. I have never seen one in the wild.

Friggin armadillos

I remember on a camping trip when I was a yoot, I was sleeping out on a tarp and heard something that woke me up. Turned over and was nose to nose with one.

Freaked me out.


Hey Vic, do you have turkey vultures out there? Biggest birds I've ever seen. A friend of mine has an old shack on his property that a female comes to every year to lay eggs. First time I saw her I thought Rodan had made his way to Arkansas. Blotted out the sun and I promptly rolled up my windows and shut the sun roof.

i remember the last time i was camping. we got bombarded by about 5 armadillos running straight by our campsite. freaked me out a little bit to hear all those fockers running through the leaves @ dark-30.

I think that is what these buzzards are. They are huge, with maybe a six foot wing span.

It looks like a Turkey buzzard.
