Morning Skunk!

You recovered from the extra heavy doses tryptophan yet?

Haha, wasn't all that bad. We had Turkey and ham at church with all the trimmings on the Sunday before. I didn't really eat all that much. Patty was sick that day and couldn't go so I helped out the ladies in the kitchen with the heavy stuff, lifting and everything. We served, I did some of the larger dishes and pots and left early.

Oh I forgot to add that I did take some turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy home, along with corn and greenbeans and some really nice chocolate cake.

Then actually on Thanksgiving I went out to the local supermarket and bought us Dinner. We had Turkey and Ham again, Mashed potatoes with gravy and corn. Dressing and sweet potato casserole and pumpkin pie! cleanup was a snap, just tossed the styrofoam containers in the trash! Patty did say it was the most relaxing holiday she has had in some time. We just messed around on the computers a bit and read. No pressures of any kind to get the food all cooked and served, cleaning up the mess afterward. Just a nice relaxing day together.

I ended up in Atlanta for a few days. the family meets and up every thanksgiving and it was there this year. had a good time. i think i ate more deserts in two days than i ever have in one single week. but no pecan pie... I wasn't the only one who noticed so suspect there will be plenty come Christmasz

Yeah it was nice for a change. No rush to get everything done then cleaning up the mess, just eat and throw the "dishes" in the trash.

How did your Thanksgiving go?

Ok I like Pecan Pie, but can't handle more than one piece at a time, a big piece though! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I'm not the biggest dessert guy usually but for some reason I was pounding them down. always seemed to have room for more pie or cake.

i love good pecan pie though. nothing like a nice warm slice of pecan pie and vania ice cream to make me sleepy.

Yup, taking a nap after a really good holiday meal is an excellent way to end the food fest.
