Just wood for me. The Yard Hook would surely kill hogs well though

Man that is a hog. I saw that thing on the trail, I would be packing hard in the opposite direction. We just have the "Collared Peccary" aka the Javelina out here in AZ. There are pretty neat creatures. I ran in to a family of them hiking one time. The little suckers can climb like nobody's business. I saw the whole family of them climb the side of a steep hill in seconds.

I'd hope I would have my .300 Win Mag with me if I ran across that monster. The thought of hunting Boar with a spear sounds interesting (very popular in Germany back in the day). One would just need a trustworthy spear head to attach to the spear.

I've killed wood with the dogfather, and my wife is a Russian minx... but I didn't kill her.

Cool site, I have heard stories about Javelina attatcking people but all of the one's I have seen don't want anything to do with you. That site mentions one lady who had pelvis injuries and other internal organ injuries. I suppose that's another good reason why I carry a pistol.

That is a Hell Hog! I hunted wild hogs for years in the Georgia swamps, but I used a .44 Magnum, and no dogs were allowed where I was hunting. We have some big ones in Ga, too. Somebody killed one over 900 lbs near Tifton. They called it HogZilla. I hear that a movie is coming out about Hogzilla. Any of you ever see Razorback? One of my all time favorite B movies. I need a SYK boar spear!
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
