Ho man, that's gotta hurt in more ways than one!

I don't know what this has to do with anything, but I find it interesting.

I went over to the church yesterday to get ready to wrap some lap throws our church is giving to residents of the nursing home just about 75 yards from the chruch. Patty and I found some at a Save-a-lot grocery store for $3.00 each! We got all they had, 21 of them. No we didn't do it TOTALLY out of the goodness of our hearts because the church voted to do it. But we got more than we were supposed to. Anyway, as I walked into the fellowship hall I noticed some items stacked along the back wall next to the door. After the count, I found out there were 53 cases (20 per case) of half lit. bottled water. And behind that were 50 cases(yes, 12 meals per case) of MREs, they're by innotich the heatermeals ex.

All I can figure out is that "They" have gone ahead and teamed up with the Red Cross or got it through our county EMA office as we voted to become a warming shelter in the winter and a cooldown site in summer.

Gonna have to check it out and see what's actually going on. We've only got 20 members so the manning of a site is gonna be dicy as 5 of our members are IN the nursing home and two others are to elderly to actually help.

second time I've broken dental crap immediately after I got it. Four days after I got my braces, I was eating a PB&J sandwich and a bracket popped off. Now this? oh well... I guess I'll have to go get it fixed...

If Government does shut down does the mean every member of congress is fired! Hey, what an Idea. Maybe then we could get someone in there that would actually do something good for the people!
