I still haven't chopped w/ my Dogfather (shame on me, but I've been busy!)... BUT I did do this w/ my RTAK II a while back. ![[Linked Image from i163.photobucket.com]](http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t311/dzrice/P1030199.jpg)

Oh, I shall friend, if I can ever find time to get out of town and CHOP things... Its going to be a few weeks though, sadly! It should be interesting though - the RTAK is lighter but has a thin blade, which digs in well. The DF is heavy and solid, but more wedge shaped. I'm looking forward to taking the DF out, but have seen some great results from the rest of the Dogs!

Your chopping was nice Bubba. This thing was laying down on its side already, makes it a little (well, a lot) easier! BUT, it was FROZEN solid!

I’m sure you’ve seen it before, but here’s one of my thick choppin’ pics too. EDIT: Oops. I just scrolled up and saw I already posted that pic. I forgot. No need to post it twice, so I’ll just put another (smaller diameter log) chopper pic here instead. ![[Linked Image from i6.photobucket.com]](http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y209/andywayne/Knives/Swamp%20Rat/mini-4-11-06-7.jpg)

I'll just assume that you used the big 'ol Swamp Rat for that, and not the little skeleton handle blade! (my ID's are still not that good, sorry)

(my ID's are still not that good, sorry) Yup, the big one is a Battle Rat, and the small one is a 3/16” Rat Shaker. I put it there for scale. Here’s some of a good sized log I split with my RM. Above view ![[Linked Image from i6.photobucket.com]](http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y209/andywayne/Knives/Swamp%20Rat/mini-4-11-06-9.jpg) Starting out…baton used is leaning against log. ![[Linked Image from i6.photobucket.com]](http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y209/andywayne/Knives/Swamp%20Rat/mini-4-11-06-8.jpg) Almost done. ![[Linked Image from i6.photobucket.com]](http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y209/andywayne/Knives/Swamp%20Rat/mini-4-11-06-11.jpg) Annnnnnnd split. ![[Linked Image from i6.photobucket.com]](http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y209/andywayne/Knives/Swamp%20Rat/mini-4-11-06-12.jpg)

Thats the coolest thing I've ever seen! What is that, 5 feet? Thanks. It was about 3-5 feet long, I don’t remember exactly. I should have filmed video of it. Maybe I can do it again sometime and add it to my youtube video set.

I'll have to check out your vids tomorrow or something. I wish I had a place where I could go do mad chopping! You'd think I would in Montana, but this part of the state might as well be part of California - its been OVERRUN!! Nothing wrong with CA, but their liberal politics don't fit well for a lot of us up here! AGain, great pix
