Guess I get bored easy....

But I've always been like that. If I don't have something specific to do, I'd just as soon be at work.

Yeah me too for some reason, but this time has been different. I'd rather stay here this time. Oh well, only three more weeks and I can do it all over again!

I need to take a few days off, hopefully around the first weekend in April. That's when trout fishing season starts here. I'll be out quite a bit for a month or two after that.

I love trout. caught quite a few when I was stationed in Idaho. BEAUTIFUL country. Wish I still lived there.

Trout here are small, but lots of fun to catch. Big one here is 4-5 pounds. Most of what I catch is 10-12 inch fish, but good eating.

As far as eating fish, I'd rather have crappie or walleye than trout.

about 12-15 inches for what I caught as well. Sure were fighters though! Oh and MOST places you had to use a barb less hook! Needless to say, I could have caught a lot more than I did it it wasn't for that little surprise. And I liked using an ultra light kit, heaviest like I used was 4 pound. Most of the time I tied to stick with my 2 pound test rig.

I like crappie best of all the fish I have had. Never had any walleye or pike. Just Catfish, bass, trout, crappie, blue gill and stripped perch. Oh yeah and carp.

I like fly fishing for trout, but the creeks and rivers here are so tight I can't cast. If I'm in open spaces, I'd much rather use my fly rod.

I usually use a spinning rod and a Panther Martin or Roostertail spinner when I trout fish in these little tight rivers. And 4 lb test or lighter line.

Never tried to do the fly rod thing. Never really been fishing anywhere where it would have done any good except for a couple times.

Just a small ultralight open faced spinning rig and I did just fine.
