The Garmin eTrex are four times the price, but only a little bigger and have maps, lots of memory for waypoints, turn by turn. They are my favorite GPS so far. Small and accurate.

Morning guys, how's the world at large

Mine has the entire US and Europe maps in them. It only has major roads for the US, but I can down load a more detailed map like I did for Europe.

I plan my bike trips on the computer software that came with it, then load the exact route into the GPS. Directs me down the path I picked perfectly.

I was mainly thinking a GPS for "it's all over" happenings, which I don't really think will happen in my lifetime (at least I hope not) so the Back track would probably be just the thing for my purposes, although a GPS would be nice, if it was detailed enough, but bigger $.
