Most of the time I like it. As busy as we are, there's no way one person could do it. From 1730 till midnight or so, the phones and radio don't stop. As we speak, I have one deputy on a traffic stop and another on his way to the magistrate with an arrest.

And bear in mind, it's 0430 here. It hasn't stopped tonight

I could handle it here from midnight to 0530 by myself MOST of the time. But there are nights when there is just no way.

There is one agency here closeby that only has one on duty, they have a phone and radio console in the bathroom where they don't miss any calls.

I hear you, there are many nights when we have 4 deputies on when I get here at midnight and it can get busy when they all want something at the same time, plus 6 dial in lines, relays from E911 to us and walkins.

Yeah, we also have 4 cities we preform dispatch functions for. At times it CAN get busy.
