I guess some hunting and fishing spots have been good for a LONG time! thats true, but can you imagine how much better those spots were back in the day? I'd love to have seen the country through their eyes. Unspoiled and wild.

On my ride back I saw 4 to 6 pairs of Bald Eagles courting. It was an incredible sight!

On my ride back I saw 4 to 6 pairs of Bald Eagles courting. It was an incredible sight! Awesome!

Dad and my grandpa were old mountain men. Ginseng digging, trout fishing, deer hunting and trapping were what they knew. I wish I had been around about 10 years earlier where I could have done that with them. But by the time I was old enough, my grandpa wasn't able to go anymore, and dad didn't want to go without him. Im sorry to hear that, I was always close to my dad but i could have learned alot more from my him too, and i regret not doing so before it was too late.

thats quite a few ... we have a lot of eagles here.. but i have never seen that many at one time.. you had a great ride

I got to do plenty of trout fishing and hunting, and some ginseng digging, but the trapping is something I missed out on. Probably for the best anyway. No one lets people trap anymore, at least not around here.

Some folks do not know that eagles are carrion eaters. I have personally seen an american bald eagle eating on a dead cow with a bunch of buzzards (vultures) .. kinda strange to see...
