No. 1 --- Who is the president of the US?
No. 2 --- Why? I can answer #2 with "I DON'T KNOW" What ticked me off is everyone saying he was our first black president. I am not racist. But he is not black.

How about this, what's th best memory you have with a knife?
I'll start my dad and I walked a couple of miles to a small town near my grandmothers home in the black forest. We went into the hard ware store and pop picked out a blue handle Swiss army knife for me. We walked and hiked and he taught me how to use it over the next few days. I was around seven. Well my aunts and uncles came over to see the Americans and while they were finishing up dessert I was outside. I found a raspberry bush or blue berry bush and had a wonderful idea. I took some and smeared the juice on my arm and on the knife and went in pretending to cry. Mom almost had a grabber, grandma knew <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> and the rest of the family freaked. I got the knife taken away for a week and a spanking I can still feel. That knife and I had great adventures and I lost it more times than I can count playing pegly leg. But it always turned up. I still have it today and it's one of my most cherished items.
Who's next?

Hmm. Probably when I got a victorinox folder from my cousin for about ten dollars worth of work. Later I learned to skin squirrels and rabbits. I was so thrilled. So my dog kills this rabbit shortly after. And I proudly took the thing and skinned it to show my parents. Which they promptly told me to throw into the field I believe. It went something like that. Pretty simple.

I wasn't very good with knives when I was younger. The oldest knife I have is a Hammer Brand knife that a friend gave me and that was just a few weeks ago. Its old in the sense of nearly 30 years old I believe.

My first knife I ever bought with my own money was an Old Timer Sharpfinger.I was about 12 and pumped gas at the store for two weekends to buy one. Still have it, somewhere.

One early knife memory has to be that every year at the State Fair, they sold these really cheap fixed blade knives. It was about 3 inches long total, and had a bead studded suede sheath with fringe. I got one every year.. I loved those things.. they wouldn't cut butter on a good day, and i have no idea where they all went.... but every year my dad would buy me one and chuckle... he would always wonder why i wanted those cheap little things when i had better knives at home...he would always give in and get me one.... I think he wanted to see if I could get it sharp...and of course, no one could...
Wish I still had one left
