Steeley you know your story just instils more fear in me. I have always thought of getting speared when I was a kid at my aunts place. We would got and run off the dock and jump in. I always thought what if. Now that I was finally past it, this. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> jumping bad, walking bad, going to have to wear combat boots to go dipping <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Well this place is known to have people stay the night and throw garbage around. It was probably glass. I honestly to this day dont know what it was that cut me though. I still cant believe I was in the hospital2 and a half hours before they sowed me up. I think about glass and old hooks when my dog and I play in a creek or river during our hikes. I mostly wear a water shoe now.

That sucked to get out. Didn't hurt as bad as you would have thought though.

I wear them in the river now, didn't used to but people have got bad about polluting the rivers around here too.

I wear them in the river now, didn't used to but people have got bad about polluting the rivers around here too. It's a shame I stll found the parts of tenn. And nc we went to to be very clean compared to a lot of places.and the trout fishing on the reservation was awesome,

Coming back from a hunting trip when i was 18. I let my 15 year old sister drive my 73 Ford Bronco... she ran off the road and we flipped over at about 60mph... more of a front/side flip... I had no seat belt on (thank God, as my seat got crushed).. so I got ejected from the vehicle... knocked out my front teeth and put a 2-3 inch gash into my forehead... sis got a 4 inch gash on her forearm... I rolled down the road a bit and ended up with my foot in a pile of dog schtuff... that was kind of weird since we were 20 miles from anywhere.. where did the dog that laid the turd come from?... Jeez your lucky to be alive. How long did it take for help to get to you? my mom and dad were following later and were still at camp packing the motor home, the other couple that were with us came upon us and went back to get them... There were no cell phones then, so someone had to drive into town. it was a little wide spot in the road and call for the EMS... i laid there for a while.. my sis was up and walking around.. it was kind of surreal as i look back on it... you figure 15 minutes for the first car to stop... then another to come along.. one to go for help into town.. about 15-20 miles.. not exactly sure where we flipped, the camp was about an even 20 or so... what maybe an hour to hour and a half... i really don't know
