Roo - I used to watch Jim Bowie as a young weed-hopper, so many years ago. Scott Forbes was the actor who played Jim, and he did a pretty good job considering the quality of TV back then. The series ran from 1956 to 1958. Bowie, Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett, Kit Carson, and so many other American heroes are lost to today's generation of kids.

Big 10" Bowie Chopper

Mudder Handled INFI Blade

1/4" thick Howling Rat Styled Blade
18 - 7%

Well I think the INFI Hogs infultrated the voting. I am trying to get to bottom of their misplaced passion.

A side of me says "No INFI" just becasue of the unfair voting. However, I want to deliver what the Dogs really voted on and wanted. I should be able to figure this out in the next week or so.

Hang tight

Dan "The Dumpster Man" Busse

The Hogs have their INFI already.

Now the Dogs need to be fed!! Bowie! Bowie! Bowie!

I'm really happy with how this vote turned out. I have a feeling this SR-77 Bowie is going to put the Yard on the map in a big freakin' way...

We need a 5/16" (or thicker) SR-77 BOWIE!!! (Written back in early '07 -- Regulator Premonition?)

I cannot believe there were less than 300 votes cast. I guess we dogs are a rare breed.

I'm sure there will be a lot more of us soon, don't you think? I just hope the droves don't show up too late, as seems to have happened with SRKW... actually i have no idea what happened to SRKW, so um... yeah, i'm sure it will just take time for the word to get out -- and i'm sure it will happen a lot faster now than it would have even 5 years ago, what with the growth of net participation and whatnot...

All I know is that I sure appreciate Dan's decision on the Bowie, in light of the fact that Jerry's kids tried to subvert the poll!

It was good to see the right decision get made, I never saw many signs of INFI support on the forum unlike the much ranted about bowie! Still INFI next should sooth some ruffled feathers!

I hope that Dan thinks the same, as I would like our Dog Brothers who voted for the Infi-Mudder to be as happy as we are who voted for the Bowie. I'll buy one!

I personally am looking for an EDC with a mudder grip. But as far as the blade goes i don't care if it's Infi or SR.

Luckee - I agree with you in that a Mudder EDC would be great regardless of whether it's Infi or SR77. However, the chance of getting an Infi blade at a (hopefully) lower Scrap Yard price is just too good to pass up. Besides, I would like to see our Brother Dogs who honestly voted for it to get the blade they wanted, right after the Bowie. There would be a lot of happy howling!

Do both, it's obvious that there's a ton of support for both types. Although this is probably easier said than done, t'would be nice to have the cake and eat it too.

Bjjzak - Howdy and Welcome! Although The Yard would probably like to release both models, I would imagine that they are limited to one at a time. Manpower, machinery, etc. to be considered. It would be nice though!
