I have no idea what i'm going to do yet. I thought we had spent nearly all our vacation money on some unexpected expenses. Now we are sitting OK.

I'm gonna spend some time at home working on some little projects. Too broke to go anywhere, but I may try a couple days camping in the mountains.

I am debating on heading to Carlsbad, Glacier, Yellowstone or hitting up crater lake in Oregon. Or just flying out to vegas for a week to catch some shows. I don't drink (often) or gamble

When I thought I was broke I was just going to head to the woods for a week or two.

Personally I would vote for Glacier or Crater lake. HOPEFULLY they wouldn't be as tourist heavy and you could truly "Get away from it all".

Crater strikes me as pretty crowded. Glacier is nice and the last time I was there most of it was shut off for flooding.

I go to Yellowstone and the Tetons every year. Its a short enough drive. I always hit the back country and rarely see other people. But I was thinking some different scenery.

Well Crap! Guess that's why I'm not a travel agent.

I really would like to see the caverns at carlsbad but that place is going to be hot this time of year.

How about the PNW up in Northern Oregon or Washington state? Heck you could even contact Yote for some B.C. hot spots.

Get there early, stay down below and come up late!

That may be a plan. I am leaning towards Glacier and then hitting up The Tetons for some kayaking on the way back.
