That kind of stupidity is global. For governments income is income regardless of the fact it's loaned money.

Politicians get into politics by making promises built on money in order to get the money to run and stay in power.

Until that changes both sides will keep giving away money through one means or another so they will continue to get the campaign contributions and votes.

They made so many laws that forces the government to spend money on projects that are non-negotiable. The budget process is such a crock when the hands are tied like that. It will take forever to untangle the mess and give them real budget control.

If I run out of money and keep writing checks, I would go to jail. Our government does it, and they just keep on going with no repercussions. Show me the logic in that.

Lots of people buy things on credit and live in debt. The country is no different, it went into debt and has so far had the credit rating to back it up.

That's not the odd part of the spending for me. It's the, give this company $10 million because they gave this Senator $10k for his campaign. If we do that, he'll vot yes on this bill about seatbelt regulations or whatever.

It USED to be called GRAFT and was Illegal. Now the call it the Presidents bail out plan!

Todd, there IS no logic where governments are concerned.
