I wouldn't SBR this lower though. Just because its stamped as a pistol lower and those are slightly harder to find. Especially for what I paid for it.

Back in 1991, i was up hunting in northern BC.
It was a very warm early September, there were 4 of us staying in my buddies trailer.
3rd or 4th day up there some other hunters pitch their tent about 50 yards from us.
They come over to chat their first night, they ask us what we we hunting for (moose), then asked us what we were using.
When we told them that we had 3 x 338 winmag and 1 x 358 winchester, they snorted and said, there are no dinosaurs here.
Of course they all had 270's

A couple days in they get a moose, get back to camp late, don't clean up and start drinking.
We stayed well away from them
in the middle of the night i heard BANG, BANG,BANG. My first thought was sh@@ one of them shot the other 2.
I hit the door with my 12 guage and my brother hits them with a spotlight.
The 3 guys are standing outside their tent with rifles and flashlights in hand.
They yell a grizz tried to come in out tent grab your 338's.
I yelled back why there isn't a dinosaur is there.
They told me to f-off and get my gun, i told them there was no way in he!! that we were going to look for a grizzly in the middle of the night.
We would come out with them at first light.
They spent the rest of the night in the cab of their truck.

next morning we saw the huge paw print on the side of the tent and we searched for about 5 or 6 hours, but did not see any sign that the bear was hit

what 22s are you taking?

I'm taking a CZ 452 and a S&W 22A. Both are tack drivers and fun to shoot.

Its a 4x4. A 2wd wouldn't be real useful here for the winter. Its also my daily driver.
my wife's daily driver is our chevy 4x4 2500HD

We had a friend of my father inlaws shot a grizz in the butt. He ans that bear just didn't get along. It tracked him down to his camper a couple of days later. Tore it open and killed him. The never found the grizz. But it was pretty well known he shot it.

My dad's grandfather was either killed and partially eaten by a griz (official report) or murdered by his partner, and left for griz to munch on.

in 2008 my brother was charged by a sow grizzly with 2 cubs, she peeled off to the side just as he was about to shoot.
in 2009 a griz attacked a bowhunter a few miles from our camp, he survived by stabbing it in the next with a arrow

I guess critters have different personalities. Some are leaders, some are docile and others are just plain mean. I used to follow a herd of buffalo around for a few weeks at a time. It was interesting watching the social interaction. Definately some strong and distinct personalities within that particular herd.
