Oh T1, if it helps you any, an ounce is approx 28 grams. You are being too kind! Thank you! That -38C is really cold! Last winter I think we had few days -30C, but every degree after that is a killer! I live near the sea so it bring it´s own characteristics to the weather and how you feel it.

Vancouver doesn't get that cold, i was up in the interior of BC It rarely gets below 0 celcius in Vancouver
