I have has several colts and Llamas and a Thompson auto ordinance, and that Springfield is by far the best factory box stock I have ever had.

I always wanted one of those V-10's when they came out. But my agency would not let me carry it at the time. Nice for keeping on Target and rapid fire but not a gun I would want for duty carry or CCW. Shooting in the dark would be bad.

I am too set in my ways to change what I carry. I have ccw the same pistol for 16 years now. Its ingrained.

I have shot in complete darkness. Well ambient light many times. You don't really notice muzzle flash much. Not from your weapon anyway. From others very much so.

That why I love SA, great guns, great service. I have 20k+ rd through mine and only replaced the recoil spring.

I've not shot in COMPLETE darkness, but with just a little 4 watt nite light for illumination. It was pretty dark.
