Yeah, sometimes SOME knives like that (and others as well) are just made to look at and not to actually use. Like cars, NOBODY needs a 1000 HP motor in a daily driver car. (but boy would it be nice)! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Agressive grooving can really look nice but doesn't do to much for actually using.

Yeah, can't wait to get it out again to do some more serious chopping and see how it feels after some heavy use

Yeah, there are a lot of busses that never actually get used, so I guess as long as it feels good while people stand there holding it, it's fine. Which isn't to say there is anything wrong with a collector knife or two, but big choppers is what infi is best at, seems a shame not to abuse her a bit

The abuse would be to put it up on the wall somewhere and NOT use it!

Hehe, it would make a cool display piece, maybe in a glass case that says Break in case of zombies or end of world

Problem being, if you never use it, then if you HAVE to, you are not prepared for the little tweaks that need to be done to it, or just getting used to the weight

Yes, that could be a VERY important consideration. Kind of like when you pick up a bag expecting it to weigh a ton and it's like on only a half pound and you wind up knocking yourself in the chin.

If I ever turn my garage into a man cave, instead of a gym, I may hang my swords and larger stuff on the walls, maybe locked in a plexiglass case, I'd be livid if someone broke in and stole my weapons off the wall

thats why I prefer to buy users.
but even then, I usually abuse my knives, and leave them in more used condition than whence they came

and I was admiring that nice re-worked handle, and wondering what model it was. I've never owned a KZ. heck, I only have one blade that could be considered a chopper- a NMSFNO that's been convexed by Norcalblacktail and I can't bring myself to use it!

Exactly, that's why I try to carry my maxpedition bag with at least a few things in it everywhere, just so I'm used to having it and I'm used to the weight ( not that I load it up, but a bare mininum of stuff). I usually have a few knife, small portable stove, a towel, food stuffs and my kleen canteen 64 oz, I get asked, what are you planning, to have to survive? I'm like, you never know , if something happens, we will be happy I have this stuff, and it doesnt inconvenience me to carry it
