Yup, memories can make the loss not quite so bad. She says though that she does NOT want another pet. She couldn't go through the loss again.

I thought Dan's offer on the War Dog mistake was very generous. I am sure that will add up to a pretty serious chunk of change. I bet the new guy had an interesting meeting.

By kids I mean MY stepson and his wife and granddaughter. They have moved to a town about 35 miles away.

Yeah, I knew that you meant them LOL. 35 miles is a lot closer than they were IIRC.
About the only thing keeping me here is my parents and the wife's grandmothers. The wife's parents are still young but my parents are in not too good of health and age.......just easier for me to be closer to help out. If it were not for that, I would be living somewhere else.
