Evening dogs. I got my first piece of INFI tonight a SS4. However sharpening it is proving tricky. The initial edge wasn't to bad so I sat down with my sharpmaker. I got the edge pretty bity with the 600 grit stones. After that I went to the 1000 grit stones to get the edge real sharp. However it got duller and way less bitey feeling after using the 1000 grit stones??? I can slice cut paper and push cut it with the back of the blade edge however I think the belly is to obtuse still. But it getting duller feeling on higher grit stones mistifies me. I had some trouble getting a wire edge could that have been the reason I was getting a bite feel on the rougher stones and I just need to work the edge down more? Sorry for the book. Haha.
